varanasi ghats..father & son..

Shot in the ghats of Varanasi, the sacred ghats where taking a dip at the holy river Ganges or Ganga is considered to wipe out your sins, I saw this father & son getting into the act. As obvious, the father was trying to convince his son for the dip and the poor little guy was running away from the water far and wide. It was interesting to see the bargain that ended up bribing the son for all shorts of things from toffees, to getting blessing of God to taking him home in his back but the final settlement was reached once when he told that they’ll have a feast of “litti” (primarily after a snacks from Bihar made of roasted gram flour) later.

This was shot at a moment where the son is still resisting to take a bath…
